Dodson School is excited to announce our partnership with Pet Partners and their inspiring “Read With Me” program! This unique literacy initiative brings therapy animals into the classroom as friendly, non-judgmental listeners who help motivate and engage young readers. A therapy animal visit serves as an incentive, a learning tool, and a source of comfort—all in one!
On October 13th, our 5th-grade students met Fred the donkey, and they’ll soon have the opportunity to read to him as part of this special program. Each elementary student will get to select a favorite book to share with Fred, creating a fun and memorable reading experience that encourages confidence and fluency.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cory and Janna Jones for their dedication and for bringing this wonderful program to Dodson School. Programs like “Read With Me” remind us that sometimes the best reading partner has four legs and big ears!
