A Montana native from the Bitteroot Valley, Ms. Kathleen Hughes graduated from Hamilton High School in 1986 and went on to attend college at Carroll in Helena.  Upon the completion of her Bachelor of Arts in 1990, she began teaching in the Special Education field.  She has taught as schools such as Heart Butte, MT - Wendover, NV, - Butte, MT, and Hinsdale, MT before moving to Dodson.  Ms. Hughes has taught at Dodson schools since 2009, and has since continued her education to include History, Psychology and Creative Writing.
