Today was an extra special day for our elementary students in the Read with Me partnership! Fred the donkey stopped by to deliver Christmas gifts to his reading partners, spreading smiles, laughter, and holiday cheer along the way.
Fred has become a beloved part of our reading program, encouraging students to build confidence, joy, and a love of reading—and today he made the season even brighter.

Dodson is searching for a Head Cook
Dodson Public School
Location: Dodson, Montana
Position Type: Full-Time (School Year Schedule)
Dodson Public School is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Head Cook to manage and oversee daily food service operations for our school. The Head Cook plays a vital role in supporting student wellness by providing nutritious, appealing meals in a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals in compliance with USDA school nutrition guidelines
Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, serving, and cleanup
Maintain accurate records for meal counts, inventory, ordering, and compliance reporting
Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, and health standards are consistently followed
Supervise and train kitchen staff as needed
Collaborate with school administration to support student dietary needs and special accommodations
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in food service, institutional cooking, or school nutrition preferred
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and nutrition standards
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to pass background check and complete required training
Work Schedule & Benefits:
School-year schedule (no evenings, weekends, or holidays)
Competitive hourly wage based on experience

Saturday, December 20- Basketball travels to Whitewater, Bus leaves at 2:00 PM
Boys play at 4:00, Girls play at 5:30
The Nashua game has been canceled and will be rescheduled for Monday, December 15. Games will be at 5:00 and 6:30. The Bus will leave at 1:30 PM
There will be NO PRACTICES tonight for basketball or cheerleading.
